Fort-4-Fitness 4 Mile Run/Walk

The Fort-4-Fitness 4 Mile Run/Walk takes place on Saturday morning, September 26, 2009. The 2008 race was won by Bryan Hartman (above left), 24, of Chicago, Illinois (24:44). The women's winner in 2008 was Lori Cook (above right), 35, of Spencerville, Indiana (26:37). Complete searchable results are available here.
Register now to be a part of the 2nd Annual event in 2009! There is no race weekend registration and registration will close on 9/12/09 or when the 5,000 cap is reached.
Race fees for the 4 Mile Run/Walk:
- $15 - before 3/31/09
- $20 - 4/1/09 to 6/30/09
- $25 - 7/1/09 to 9/12/09
- Bonus - register prior to August 1, 2009 and have your first name printed on your bib.
Other race info:
- New course is approved for 2009! The race will start in front of the historic Baker Street Station in downtown Fort Wayne, and will conclude with an exciting finish at Parkview Field. The course will take racers through historic Fort Wayne neighborhoods and past landmark churches.
- All participants who complete the course will receive a finisher's medal
- Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in the following categories/age groups: Overall Open; Overall Masters (40+); 19 and Under; 20 to 24; 25 to 29; 30 to 34; 35 to 39; 40 to 44; 45 to 49; 50 to 54; 55 to 59; 60 to 64; 65 to 69; 70 and over.
- Race numbers are required to participate
- You must be in good health and physically prepared to take on the challenges of the 4-Mile Run/Walk
- Dogs, in-line skates, bikes, skateboards and electronic devices will not be allowed on the course. Jogging strollers will be allowed only for the 4-Mile event.
- Competitive wheelchair athletes and those with disabilities are welcome. Please contact us at Race@fort-4-fitness.org to discuss how we can best assist you.
Cancellation Policy:
- Entry fees are NON-REFUNDABLE, NON-TRANSFERABLE and CANNOT be applied to future years. NO EXCEPTIONS! You may NOT SELL OR GIVE AWAY your race number to anyone else. Participants found in violation of this policy or found using someone else's race number are subject to disqualification. Repeat offenders may be barred from registering for the Fort-4-Fitness in future years. There are NO OFFICIAL WAIT LISTS. Any wait list offered by any person, business or organization is in direct violation of this policy and will not be honored.
